An Industry introduction to Deep Energy Retrofits

On December 16, 2021, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., Peter Amerongen will present a technical overview of panelized Deep Energy Retrofits Butterwick Projects is undertaking, with support from Smart Sustainable Resilient Infrastructure Association on three, older single family homes in Edmonton, AB, Canada.

This webinar will feature a 20 to 30 minute presentation and a facilitated Q and A for attendees.

All are welcome, but this one-hour lunch and learn will be especially useful for anyone working in construction, engineering, renovations, architecture, green building technology, etc., and has an interest in net-zero buildings.

About Peter Amerongen:

Peter Amerongen has been designing and building energy-efficient houses in and around Edmonton since the 1970s. As a partner at Habitat Studio, he designed and built net-zero energy houses and led Canada’s first net-zero energy affordable multi-family project and Canada’s first net-zero energy church. In 2018, Peter joined Butterwick Projects. He leads the Sundance Housing Co-op panelized deep energy retrofit. He is also a consultant with ReNu Engineering Ltd., where he helps builders develop practical, affordable, low carbon building solutions. Peter is an original member of Edmonton City Council’s Energy Transition Advisory Committee and the CHBA Net Zero Council Management Committee. He is also a Certified Passive House Consultant (PHIUS and PHI).
