Lorrie Rand is co-founder and Director of Sustainability with Habit Studio, a Halifax-based design practice focused on passive house and whole building retrofits. Lorrie is also co-founder and Senior Advisor for the ReCover Initiative, Atlantic Canada’s Deep Retrofit Accelerator.
Lorrie is a Certified Passive House Designer and has a Bachelor of Environmental Design Studies from the Dalhousie University School of Architecture. She is an instructor with Passive House Canada and serves on the National Research Council’s National Model Codes Committee for Climate Mitigation. She spends her down time in her garden or cocooning at her Bay of Fundy off-grid cottage.
