Retrofit Canada partner Butterwick Projects has three properties on the tour featuring the first panelized, EnergieSprong-type deep retrofits in North America:
The free event runs from noon to 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday, June 3 and 4, 2023.
Check out the Highlands Retrofit at 11408 63 Street. This is the first panelized retrofit of a single-family home in North America.
Do a double header, and head over to the Sundance Housing Co-op (85 Street, South of 101 Ave). Learn how the Sundance community tackled Canada's original panelized deep retrofit with a massive overhaul of the co-op's 59 original units built in 1978. From there, go to 5711 143 Street for to see how the Hoffman's managed to convert an old, leaky building to net-zero ready, all while growing an urban food jungle in their front yard.
